Private Training Sessions
Obedience & Puppy Training (Off-Site*)
*Trainers will choose a Santa Clarita Valley location based on the needs of the trainer, dog, and handler.
For your dog's safety, in order to participate in off-site training, they must be:
- 4 months old (16 weeks) or older
- Fully vaccinated (proof of vaccination will be required prior to starting sessions)
- Evaluated by a trainer. A $30 in-home evaluation is required for all new clients looking to be trained by SCV Pawsitive Pets (evaluation price applied to final purchased training package).
All off-site sessions will be 50 minutes and must be conducted on a standard 4-6ft leash unless in a fenced in location and advised by your trainer.
In-Home Private Training
All in-home training must be based in The Santa Clarita Valley unless specifically requested and approved by a trainer. For your dog's safety, in order to participate in in-home training, they must be:
- 10 weeks or older
- Vaccinated (Proof of first set of vaccinations will be required prior to starting sessions, full vaccinations required for dogs older than 6 months)
- Evaluated by a trainer. A $30 in-home evaluation is required for all new clients looking to be trained by SCV Pawsitive Pets (evaluation price applied to final training package).
All single sessions and sessions that make up a training package will be 50 minutes each. All dogs must be on leash, in a crate, or behind a gate prior to meeting the trainer for the first session unless advised otherwise. After each session, clients will receive personalized training resources and take-home information, followed by an email that recaps the sessions in order to support consistent practice at home.
Evaluation
$30
All new clients are required to complete an evaluation with an SCV Pawsitive Pups trainer in order to begin any training sessions. Evaluations are typically conducted in-home and allow the trainer to meet both the dog & owner, while gathering important background information necessary to create a personalized training plan. The cost of the evaluation will be applied towards any private session package purchased.
4 Sessions

All in-home training sessions are 50 minutes long and focus on personalized, hands on training where your dog feels most comfortable. Off-site sessions also available with in-home packages.
Single Session
$115
We understand you might want to experience our training style before committing to a full session package. Single sessions are 1 hour and allow clients the opportunity to ask questions, while also receiving personalized training advice and hands on training from the comfort of your own home.

All in-home training sessions are 50 minutes long. Off-site sessions also available with in-home packages.
Canine Good Citizen (CGC)
Pups are required to be at least 1 year of age in order to take the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluation; however, preparation is always encouraged from an early age! SCV Pawsitive Pups starts CGC Prep training as early as 6 months, teaching fundamental skills such as sit & stay on command, loose leash walking, recall, and reaction to distractions amongst many others.
Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluation
Your trainer will ensure that you are fully informed and equipped before booking and taking your test. If you and your dog pass the CGC evaluation, $25 of the $50 evaluation fee will be waved as a processing fee towards the American Kennel Club (AKC) to issue your official CGC certificate.
